A remote for the shared living room

Guests should be able to turn on the TV and dim the lights without an app, an account or a tutorial. A QR code on the table opens a page that just works.

Requirements

A single page, no login, reachable only on the local network

Big buttons for the six things a guest actually wants; nothing else

Talks to Home Assistant through a narrowly scoped token that can only touch those six entities

Shows state (is the TV on?) and reflects changes made elsewhere within two seconds

Works on a five-year-old phone in landscape and portrait

Bonus Points

A "reset the room" button that puts everything back to a default scene
